Another successful Tim Hortons Smile Cookies campaign is in the books here in Humboldt.
During the week, $ 27,207.75 was raised from the Smiles Cookies, with the proceeds going towards the Humboldt District Health Foundation (HDHF).
On Monday afternoon, Tim Hortons presented a cheque to the HDHF.
HDHF Executive Director Lorrie Bunko says the Foundation enjoyed taking part in the campaign.
“We had a lot of fun in the restaurant, in the communities, seeing pictures on social media, it was really another good week.”
Humboldt Tim Hortons owner Dan Grywacheski was also pleased to be involved in the fundraiser and giving back to the community.
“Our whole team had a great fun week. All the volunteers were totally into it and engaged and we’re all just honoured to raise this much money for the hospital, it was a successful year.”
With the proceeds from the Smile Cookies Campaign, Bunko says the money will go towards supporting the pharmacy upgrade at the hospital.
Bunko also extended appreciation to all the volunteers who took time and helped put smiles on the cookies for everyone to enjoy.
