Fire ban implemented in Winkler, Ward 1 of R.M. of Stanley

A fire ban, including fire pits, has been put into place within the City of Winkler and Ward 1 of the R.M. of Stanley. The Winkler Fire Department shared the update late Tuesday afternoon via its social media page.

This Fire Ban means no fires, no fireworks, no pellet stoves and no firepits. Use of barbecues and fire tables fueled by propane or natural gas is still permitted, because they do not emit sparks or embers. 

This is the latest fire ban implemented in the region, with the City of Morden and Ward 2 for the R.M. of Stanley having a total fire ban in place since May 5th.
