The Weyburn Fire Department recognized the service and dedication of its members last week at its annual Years of Service Awards.
According to a release sent by the City of Weyburn, the Weyburn City Council was in attendance, including Mayor Jeff Richards. He is quoted as expressing gratitude to the members honoured and the department as a whole.
"Whether it’s five years or thirty, your commitment to protecting this community speaks volumes, and it’s something we deeply respect and are proud to honour.”
Fire Chief Trent Lee said "Every one of these members has shown up time and time again, for their team and for the community. They’re the kind of people you want beside you when it counts, and I’m proud to work with them.”
This year's award recipients are Brydon Hnatiuk, Jola Bell-Erb, Rob Jack, and Kyle Doane, for five years of service, Jeremy Vanroon for 15 years of service, and Michael Kiap for 30 years of service.
The City thanks all the Weyburn Fire Department and Weyburn Fire association members, acknowledging their ongoing dedication, training, and service as their work has a lasting impact on the community's safety and well-being.
