Twelve gymnasts from the local gymnastics club capped off their season with strong performances at the Saskatchewan Provincial Championships, held May 9–11. A total of 14 athletes qualified for Provincials this year, an impressive accomplishment following a busy competition season that spanned 11 meets across Western Canada.
Leading the way was Lila Hale, who earned silver all around in the CCP Level 9 category. Brynley Rosengren followed closely, claiming bronze all around in the XCEL Diamond level. Both athletes were named to Team Saskatchewan, with Hale set to compete at Nationals in Calgary from May 26–30, and Rosengren heading to a competition in Victoria over the May long weekend. Head coach Rebecca Fedyk has also been selected as part of the Team Sask coaching staff for Nationals.

With National competition still to come for Hale and Rosengren, the season isn’t quite over — but it’s already one to remember.
