A rainfall warning has been issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada for Weyburn and the surrounding area.

The area is expected to receive 50 to 80 millimetres of rain by Friday afternoon due to a spring rainstorm headed for the prairies. Rain will begin this evening with showers and thunderstorms, becoming steady rain with some thunder continuing on and off until Friday afternoon. The heaviest amounts are expected near the Saskatchewan and Manitoba border.
