Residents and visitors to the Kenosee Lake area are being advised of a temporary disruption to emergency services at the Arcola Health Centre over the May long weekend.

According to the Saskatchewan Health Authority, emergency, acute care, lab, and X-ray services at the Arcola facility will be unavailable starting at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16. The disruption is scheduled to remain in effect until 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 21.

The SHA is encouraging those in need of emergency medical care during this time to access services at alternate facilities. The nearest available emergency rooms will be located at Weyburn General Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital in Estevan, and the Redvers Health Centre.

Arcola is the closest emergency room to Kenosee Lake, a popular destination during long weekends. Travellers and residents are urged to plan accordingly and seek medical assistance at one of the nearby facilities if required.
