John Krueger
September 18, 1931 – May 15, 2025

John Krueger passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 15, 2025. John was born on September 18, 1931, at his family farm near Goodsoil, SK. He was the first child (son) born in Canada, after 3 sisters born in Germany. He was also the first child to be baptized in St. Boniface Church in Goodsoil. John attended school at Waterhen before he left school at an early age to start his working career. John met Josephine Bourauel at Goodsoil while she was a nurse at the local hospital, and he was working construction. They married on February 20, 1957, in Bruno, SK. In 1960, John and Josephine began operating the Cockshutt Dealership in Leroy and then relocated to Humboldt. In 1969, the dealership became White Farm Equipment, which they operated until 1980 when they decided to sell it. After moving to Humboldt, John and Josephine expanded their enterprise by adding farming to the mix. After selling their dealership they continued to expand the farming venture along with their son Steven. In 2009, at the age of 78, John, along with Josephine and Steven, decided to sell the farm. Due to his love of farming, John continued to help his nephew when needed for another 3 years.

As a couple they enjoyed vacationing south in the winter and camping in the summer. John not only enjoyed farming but also jigsaw puzzles, playing harmonica, fishing, camping, gambling, curling, and watching all sports.

John is survived by six children – Laura (Kim) Jurgens, Linda (Rod Francis) Kloschinsky, Dianne Schwark, Steven Krueger, Beverly (Douglas) Kaip, and Sarah (Steven) Wilson; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. John in also survived by his siblings – Clara Fraser, Rudy (Jan Brown) Krueger, Rete (Ron) Wegleitner, and Frieda LeVasseur.

John was predeceased by his wife Josephine Krueger, parents Peter Krueger and Olga Klein, siblings Adeline (Rupert) Engleder, Maria (Alfred) Merkowsky, Hank (Vi) Krueger, and Joe Krueger.

A Family Service will be held at a later date.  Memorial Donations in John’s memory may be made to the Humboldt District Hospital Foundation, General Equipment Fund.
