Alberta’s government is ensuring parents, teachers and school boards are aware of the many high school courses available to students across the province.

To make it easier for teachers, parents and students across the province to explore the thousands of high school courses available to students, Alberta’s government has developed an online course catalogue.

Albertans can use the new tool to search almost 3,000 courses to learn about course details, related curriculum and prerequisites.

The new, interactive tool designed will allow you to browse through a broad list of provincially developed or locally developed courses or search for courses related to specific subjects.

The catalogue will help students and parents make decisions about course offerings, including options like career and technology studies, off-campus education and fine arts.

As well school boards can work with Alberta Education to create locally developed courses that meet local student, school or community needs.

Albertans can also browse locally developed courses that address student interests or promote successful transitions into work or post-secondary education.

Students and families interested in finding out where a specific curse is offered can connect directly with schools in their community.

To explore the new course catalogue, you can visit LearnAlberta.
