Netflix renews locally shot series for a third season

A series that was partially shot in Okotoks and High River has been renewed for another season.

Last week, Netflix announced that My Life with the Walter Boys will be getting a third season, with the announcement coming before the second season's release.

The show's first season premiered in December of 2023, and the second season is expected to debut later this year.

Both seasons were filmed in Southern Alberta, with season two shooting partially in Okotoks and High River in 2024.

The series is based on Ali Novak's novel of the same name, which follows a recently orphaned teen who moves cross-country to live with the Walter family and their 11 boys.

Season three of My Life with the Walter Boys is expected to premiere in 2026.
