Marching bands, horses, bouncy castles, and more will take over Diamond Valley on Saturday, June 7.
The 57th Diamond Valley Parade and Festival will greet thousands of spectators in the morning, and then the festivities continue on the Turner Valley side of town in the afternoon.
Get there early if you want to find parking and take in the pancake breakfast fundraiser at 8:30 a.m. put on by students at Oilfields High.
The parade then takes off from the school at 10 a.m. along the new parade route that was established last year. It now avoids going down Hwy 7/Hwy 22, aka Centre Ave.

Then the action moves to Millenium Park on the Turner Valley side starting at 11 a.m. and going until 3 p.m.
There are a few new activities for kids to take in this year like a Ninja Obstacle Course for kids 5 and over as well as an obstacle course for those under 5.
An inflatable curling rink will also be set up by the Oilfields Curling Club for kids to try out. Moe Dog Rescue will also be there with some adoptable dogs, and Wild Rose Community Connections will be hosting some fun yard games in the main field.
A big hit last year was Interactive Archery at the ball diamond, and that's also returning.
Vendors will be selling their wares, and the Foothills Lions Club has stepped up again barbecuing burgers and having cold A&W root beer on hand. You might just catch Mayor Barry Crane flipping burgers and helping out after he's done being in the parade.
The Sheep River Library host their annual book sale too, and the Bake Sale and Quilt Show is a go at the Sheep Creek Arts Council.
The town is also tying in the grand opening of Gray Park at 4 p.m., which is just west of the skatepark and arena on the Diamond Valley side.
Also, of note. There will not be a shuttle bus going from the Diamond Valley side to the Turner Valley side this year.
