The world-renowned RCMP Musical Ride will be featured during Westerner Days Fair & Exposition this year.

Each year from May to October, the RCMP Musical Ride travels across Canada, visiting up to 50 communities and rotating through provinces to ensure as many Canadians as possible can experience it.

This year, Westerner Days has been selected to host the riders for fairgoers to experience this Canadian tradition, which will be included with admission to the fair.

“The RCMP Musical Ride is a time-honoured tradition that brings together the values of community, heritage and national pride,” says Shelly Flint, CEO of Westerner Park.

“We’re thrilled to host this extraordinary experience at Westerner Days and share it with thousands of guests from across central Alberta and beyond.”

Each Musical Ride performance will be preceded by an RCMP police dog service demonstration, followed by the Musical Ride itself, with opportunities for a meet-and-greet with the riders afterward.

The RCMP Musical Ride showcases up to 32 riders and horses, all of whom are serving police officers, and with music demonstrate their intricate drills and formations.

More than just a performance, the Musical Ride enhances the spirit of community celebration, supporting front-line police operations while helping to foster relationships, inspire future recruits and showcase the RCMP’s image both nationally and internationally.
