Recycling collection halted after body discovered at recycling depot

Some Winnipeggers will have to hold onto their recycling longer than expected. 

Recycling collection is suspended on Thursday, May 22, due to a police investigation after a body was found at the Materials Recovery Facility. 

The recycling suspension does not impact garbage collection. 

For those who have Thursday as collection day, and if it has not been picked up, please put the recycling cart out on Saturday morning before 7 a.m.

The service disruption is not expected to impact residents with a Friday collection day, so Winnipeggers can go ahead as normal.
