A female teenager has been arrested after Prince Albert Provincial General Investigation Section (GIS) located a Black Jeep that was responsible for a fatal collision with a pedestrian on Highway #11 on Tuesday morning.
The Black Jeep was located on the Beardy’s & Okemasis Cree Nation on Wednesday (May 21).
The teenager, who can’t be identified as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with one count, fail to stop after accident causing death, Section 320.16(3), Criminal Code.
She is scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on June 18, 2025
The deceased has been identified. He is not a Canadian citizen, and efforts are underway to notify his next of kin. No further identifying details about him can be provided.
