Red Deer students showcase artwork at public exhibition.
Graduates from Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School and Hunting Hills High School are having their artwork presented in Red Deer.
The Red Deer Arts Council and Red Deer Public Library present "Hang Ups and Insights", a showcase now in its 17th year.
It features artwork from students in the Baccalaureate Art Programs and Advanced Placement courses from the graduating class of 2025.
The exhibition runs until June 23 in the Kiwanis Gallery at the Red Deer Public Library.
"Hang Ups and Insights" highlights new artistic discoveries by young artists and reveals their unique perspectives on the world and their lived experiences.
From paintings and ceramics to prints and drawings, the exhibition showcases how the next generation of artists is developing ideas through cultural and environmental interactions.
A First Friday Red Deer opening will take place on June 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with students and instructors in attendance.
The event is open to the public and offers an opportunity to celebrate young artists and explore the inspirations behind their work.
