Enns Brothers in Portage la Prairie came alive this past Saturday as families and community members gathered for a fun-filled day of activities, fundraising, and local engagement. With over 250 visitors Enns Brothers 'Day of Play' delivered big fun for the whole family! The event featured everything from face painting and BBQs to prize draws and pet adoptions, making it a highlight of the season and a true celebration of community spirit.
Gary Bohn, General Manager at Enns Brothers, reflected on the success of the day.
"Just seeing all the people and the smile on the kids' faces, that's the best part," he said. A face painter proved to be one of the most popular attractions, with a long line of eager children waiting for a turn.

The local 4H club also played a big role, hosting a BBQ fundraiser.
"They were busy all day! It's great for the young kids to learn how to serve the public and raise money for their club."

In addition to the BBQ, visitors enjoyed prize draws, a 20% discount on John Deere toys, and an animal adoption booth run by PAWS. A fan-favorite of the day was Stella, a dog that quickly became a hit among children. PAWS collected pet food, cash donations, and even found potential new homes for their animals.

"This isn't a money-making event for us," Bohn emphasized. "It's a community event. We're just happy to give back."
Bohn extended his thanks to the community for coming out for their 'Day of Play" ending off with saying,
"We'll be doing it again next May, so make sure to come out, have fun, and bring the kids."
With sunshine, smiles, and strong community turnout, the event once again proved to be a springtime highlight in Portage la Prairie.
