Yellow Grass Fire and Rescue deals with brush fire

Yellow Grass Fire and Rescue responded to a fire Sunday evening that could have had dire consequences if left unchecked.  

In a post on social media, YGFR stated they were called to a brush fire near the Yellow Grass School just after 6:30 p.m. The members of the fire department who arrived on the scene found a smouldering brush fire. They were able to quickly extinguish the fire, with no reported damage.  

The post also stated that the fire was deliberately set. YGFR asked parents to have a conversation with their children about the dangers of fire, as well as to remind them that fire-starting materials, such as matches and lighters, should never be used as a toy.
