A group of young adults from Grant Memorial Church gathered on Saturday evening for a night of food, fun, and fellowship, hosted by the church’s Young Adult Ministry.
The event featured a barbecue, a multi-sport tournament, and plenty of opportunities to connect. Leaders grilled burgers, organized games, and helped create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.
Attendees competed in activities including basketball, soccer, and gaga ball, with gift cards awarded as prizes for the winners.
The goal of the evening was to foster a stronger sense of community among young adults at the church.
“I’ve met one new person so far, and that’s what I’ve come to do—meet some more new people and get further connected within the church and this young adults’ community,” said Ashley, a new attendee.
Throughout the night, leaders encouraged participation and engagement, emphasizing the importance of showing up and building relationships.
“Keep showing up. If you don’t show up, there’s no way you’re going to build those relationships that need time to develop,” said Naa, a young adult leader.
Saturday's gathering served as a reminder that faith and fellowship go hand in hand—and that building community can be a lot of fun.
