Do you get "Sunday Syndrome" or "Sunday Blues"? Many suffer from anxiety and stress as the reality of getting back to work on Monday sets in.

Surveys and polls over the years have found we just don't like Mondays.

The average person moans and groans for over half-an-hour on Monday mornings compared to about 20 minutes on other days. One survey, years ago, found the majority of people don't even smile until after 11:00am on Mondays.

Over 50% of workers show up late on Mondays and most of us are only productive for 3 or 4 hours. Oh, and the stats show a 20% increase in heart attacks on Mondays.

However, not everyone dreads the day.

I often think back to something an old acquaintance once told me.  He was in sales and needed to be self-motivated.  He was always happy on Monday mornings.

When I asked him why he said, "Well, because I have a whole week to make money."
