Joyce Irene Gale, late of Saskatoon, SK passed away on December 11, 2024 at the age of 93 years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Ben and Isobel (Sparks) Paxman; her brother, Arthur; sisters, Ruth (Roy) McKague, Dorothy (Gordon) Ward; nephews, Arthur Ward and Wayne Krushlucki.
Joyce is survived by a daughter, Debbie (Terry) Peterson, granddaughter, Jackie Petersen; her nieces, Sandra Chicoine, Donna (Garth) Freeman, Janice Krushlucki, Marilyn (Vern) Soch; nephews, Dennis McKague and Brad (Trish) Ward.
Joyce was born in the Little Butte District by Maxim. She attended Little Butte, Big Timber and Tribune Schools. She then went to Balfour Technical School in Regina taking a stenographers course. Joyce worked in Regina and Weyburn at the Imperial Bank. Later she moved to Edmonton, then to London, Ontario for a short time before settling in Saskatoon where she lived until her death. Joyce worked at the University of Saskatchewan at the Linear Accelerator Lab as Administrative Assistant to the professors there, retiring in 1991. Joyce married Gordon Gale, they later divorced. Joyce travelled to England, U.S.A, Spain and Switzerland combining pleasure with searching for family roots.
A Graveside Service and Interment will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. from Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn, SK.
