The Estevan Wellness Committee is hoping more people can stay aware of local services, programs, and information through their new website. Peoiple will be able to access all of that information and more at estevancommunitywellness.ca, with services catered to individuals, families, and service providers.
Services will include mental health, addiction support, housing, food security, youth and senior services, crisis intervention, and more.
“This website is a direct response to community feedback asking for a one-stop source for local support,” said Shelly Veroba, Co-Chair of the Estevan Wellness Committee. “We know that accessing help can be overwhelming, especially in times of crisis. Our goal is to make it easier for residents to find the support they need, when they need it.”
Key Features of the Website Include:
- Categorized Directory of local service providers
- Accessibility Tools panel for ease of access for everyone
- Crisis Information and emergency contacts
- News and Updates from the Estevan Wellness Committee
- ‘Get Involved’ and ‘Submit a Resource’ links for ease of connecting with the Estevan
The website is part of the Committee's larger Community Safety and Well-Being Plan, as they look to promote collaboration, reduce social risks, and foster a stronger, healthier community.
“This is just the beginning,” added Veroba, “The website will evolve to meet community needs and continue to reflect the values of equity, accessibility, and collaboration that guide the CSWB Plan.”
The Committee invites people to give the site a look and see what the community as a whole has going on.
