Seed and Feed visits the Stolhandske farm

Seed and Feed headed southeast of Swift Current to the Stolhandske family.

They received a lunch from K-Motel as part of our ongoing thank you to local farms.

Shanna Stolhanske noted they're finished seeding 5000 acres but are grateful for some recent rain.

"Such a blessing," Stolhanske said. "We were pretty excited to see it. There was stuff going into dry dirt at the end, so the rain was pretty amazing."

Their family loves farm life. 

"We love it," Stolhanske said. "We love being part of the lifestyle. We love being able to help feed the world. We wouldn't have it any other way."

Their farm planted canola, lentils, and durum.

It's a fourth-generation family farm.
