Environment Canada has issued a heat warning across much of Southern Alberta, including Foothills County.
Temperatures of 29°C or higher are expected on Wednesday (May 28) and Thursday, with overnight lows near 14°C.
The warning is in place for:

- Foothills Co. near High River and Aldersyde, Alta. (072532)
- Foothills Co. near Cayley, Alta. (072533)
- M.D. of Willow Creek near Nanton and Parkland, Alta. (072541)
- M.D. of Willow Creek near Claresholm and Stavely, Alta. (072542)
- Foothills Co. near Blackie, Alta. (072620)
- Siksika Res. 146, Alta. (072633)
- Vulcan Co. near Arrowwood, Herronton, and Queenstown, Alta. (072641)

Environment Canada is urging members of the public to stay hydrated, close blinds or shades, and open windows if it's cooler outside than inside.
They also recommend checking on older adults and anyone else at risk for heat illness multiple times a day.
Signs of heat stroke include red and hot skin, dizziness, nausea, confusion and change in consciousness.
Call 9-1-1 if you or someone around you is suffering from heat stroke.
