The Estevan Police Service responded to a range of incidents over a two-day period, including assaults, a theft, public intoxication, and traffic complaints.

Officers were called to a domestic disturbance in the central part of the city on May 26. The investigation determined that a male suspect, who had left the scene before police arrived, was to be arrested for assault. The nightshift later located and arrested the man. He was released with conditions and will appear in Estevan Provincial Court at a later date.

Police also received a report of criminal harassment involving online posts, as well as a trespassing complaint. Both matters remain under investigation.

The following day, police received a request for advice on how to remove a roommate from a residence. Officers provided suggestions, but determined it was not a police matter.

An assault was reported at a residence on the east side of the city. Members attended, and the matter is still under investigation.

Police responded to a report of mischief to a vehicle on the 1400-block of Third Street. The damage reportedly occurred on Saturday night.

A report of a theft on the 1000-block of Fourth Street was also received. Video surveillance was obtained and a suspect identified. Charges are pending.

Officers responded to a report of an erratic driver travelling northbound on 13th Avenue. A description of the truck and a partial license plate number were provided, but the vehicle was not located.

Police were also called about an unconscious male near a business in the north-central area of the city. The individual was arrested for being intoxicated in public. EMS assessed the man, who was found to be grossly intoxicated and unable to care for himself. He was lodged in cells until sober.

During the night shift, officers received a report of an adult allegedly uttering threats toward several youth. The matter remains under investigation as police await statements from those involved.

A wellbeing check was conducted on an individual reported to be potentially suicidal. Officers located the person, confirmed they were safe, and determined they had no intention of self-harm.
