Construction is now underway on the east end of Glenhill Drive and Glenpatrick Road (Area One), progressing westward toward Glenbow Elementary School as part of the major Glenpatrick Drive infrastructure project.

Road excavation is scheduled to begin early tomorrow morning (May 29). Residents can expect a full road closure along the construction zone, which will remain in effect until early July. At that point, traffic will be able to exit the community via the eastern portion of Glenhill Drive.

Homes located within the construction zone will be connected to a temporary water system while crews work on underground infrastructure. Affected residents have already been notified.

RELATED STORY

Public access to the walkway in front of the construction zone will be restricted during the project. Pedestrian detours will be established, and a map of the new route is expected to be shared later this week.

Waste and recycling collection will continue as usual, with accommodations made for impacted homes.

The town is advising residents to follow posted signage and detour routes, and to allow extra time when travelling through the area.
