Supporters of mental health have a great reason to head to Saskatoon later in June for a fun adventure and a fundraising opportunity.

Speaking Through Craig Solutions Inc. Is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to providing programs to support mental health and awareness on several fronts. The organization is hosting an Amazing Race for Mental Health on Friday, June 20 beginning at Albert Oulton Park, 12th St. E and Cumberland Ave in Saskatoon. That’s the meeting point and the start of an evening’s adventure, says organizer Rhea Hartl.

“Without giving too much away, it’s not going to be a footrace. You’ll get in your vehicle, we’ll get you to the clues, and that will give you the clue to the next leg of the race.”

The city-wide scavenger hunt has activities to engage in at each station to retrieve the clues, all manned by blue shirted RBC volunteers. The event starts at 7:00 pm and concludes at 9:00 pm.

Speaking Through C.R.A.I.G. - Solutions Inc. (Creating Resilience & Awareness Inspired through Guidance) is a charity organization that helps individuals who are challenged with anxiety, depression, and stress.  It was inspired by the late Craig Hartl who faced challenges with mental health, and the movement is championed by Kim Hartl of Lake Lenore.

One of the key initiatives has been M.E. Day (Mental Health Edification Day), a wellness expo that takes place annually to invite participants to create their own mental wellness teams and expertise. This year’s M.E. Day is slated for Saskatoon’s Western Development Museum. Participation in M.E. is free, supported by fundraising events like the Amazing Race for Mental Health.

Racers can enter the June 20 event as teams of 4 with a $100 per team entry fee. To enter, call Kim Hartl at (306) 231-9287.
