Now that summer is almost here, the weekends are filling up with activities - from fundraisers to just plain fun-raisers.

The Weyburn Beavers will host the Regina Red Sox tonight at Tom Laing Park at 7 p.m., and will be facing the Moose Jaw Miller Express in a home-and-home this weekend, with a game in Moose Jaw Saturday and on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Weyburn.

The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings will host their first-ever Pickleball tournament on Saturday.

The Country 106.7 race car will be hitting the Estevan Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon for First Responders Night. Find event details HERE.

The Bloom: Find Your Pink event is happening on Saturday for those who have purchased tickets.

The Khedive Heritage Recreation Club will host a car and tractor show on Sunday.

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #47 in Weyburn is hosting Decoration Day on Sunday at the Hillcrest and Green Acres Cemetery, as part of a nationwide opportunity for volunteers to visit the local cemeteries, place Canadian flags, and decorate the grave sites of those who served.

Also on Sunday, the Brokenshell Multiple 4-H Club is hosting a Puzzle Challenge to raise funds for their poultry project.

Fun in the sun will be easy to accomplish this weekend with the weather forecast showing sunshine and highs in the upper 20s. This means time at the beach at Nickle Lake Regional Park, a swim at the Weyburn Leisure Centre's outdoor pool, or a splash at one of Weyburn's two spray parks, with the Young Fellows paddling pool also an option at the Don Mitchell Tot Lot. Those who hope to stay home and relax, maybe even working on some creative projects, consider registering as a vendor for the Gifted Summer Art Market on July 19th.
