Update:
The man accused of firing multiple gunshots into a Rosser home has turned himself in, according to Manitoba RCMP.
On June 2, 2025, Kale Johnson, 37, of Powerview-Pine Falls, surrendered to Stonewall RCMP and has since been remanded in custody.
The charges against him are extensive and include possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, and discharging a firearm with intent.
Johnson also faces charges for discharging a firearm while being reckless, operating while prohibited, weapons possession contrary to order, and knowing unauthorized possession of a firearm.

A late-night shooting in the village of Rosser prompted an investigation by Stonewall RCMP, who say the incident appears to be targeted and isolated.
Gunshots reported on Highway 221
Police were called shortly after 10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, to a report of gunfire at a residence on Highway 221 in Rosser.
Investigators say a suspect drove up to the home, fired several shots, and quickly left the scene.
RCMP confirm no one inside the home was injured.
Suspect and homeowner known to each other
According to police, the people involved are not strangers.
“The homeowner and the suspect are known to each other,” says a statement from Stonewall RCMP.
Officers add that there is no indication the public is at risk.

Officers continue to follow up on leads as the investigation moves forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact Stonewall RCMP or submit a tip through Manitoba Crime Stoppers.
