It was sunny skies and smiles when Seed n Feed made its latest deliveries, offering a much-needed break and a hearty lunch to two local seeding crews.
At 5G Farms near Lampman, Judy Walter and her crew took a well-earned pause to enjoy the visit.
“We’re back in the field after that beautiful rain,” Walter said. “Hopefully a few more days and we’ll be finished wrapping it up. That’s a nice feeling for 2025.”
This spring brought about four inches of rain, which helped crops but also left some wet spots in the field. “Now the challenge is the water holes, but it’s okay. We’ll get it done,” she added.
Walter entered Seed n Feed online. “We deal with a lot of the sponsors, so I thought it was a good thing to do. I’m glad you were able to bring the food and meet some of our people.”
Not far away in Hitchcock, Kevin Wock of Wock Industries also welcomed the Seed n Feed team and a hearty lunch for his hardworking crew.

With lunch enjoyed and energy restored at both farms, it was back to the field to finish the job.
The final Seed n Feed meal will be delivered today. Thanks once again to our wonderful sponsors.
