Norman Harold Cartier, late of Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan, born June 4, 1954, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025 at the age of 70 years.

Norman was predeceased by his parents, George and Joan Cartier; brother, Bruce and sister, Linda.

Norman was born in Toronto, Ontario, when he was 12 years old, Norman was living on his own at Covenant House with numerous other adolescents his own age, many of whom he had kept in contact with over the years. He spent many years as a camp counsellor and studied religious philosophy. At the age of 23, Norman began his career as a long haul truck driver, which abled him to explore all of Canada and the United States.

Norman married Frances Lewis in June of 2002 in Toronto and the happy couple moved to Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan where they made their home.

Norman will be forever loved and missed by his loving wife of 23 years, Frances Cartier; stepson, Ryan (Amanda) Burris; and their children, Gracie, Grant and Gemma of Middle Stewiacke, Nova Scotia; stepson, Steven Burris of Weyburn, Saskatchewan; stepson, Craig Burris of South Ranch, Nova Scotia; sister, Susan (Dave) Ambrose and children, Jeffrey and his sons, Jonah and Issac of Moncton, New Brunswick and Devon (Krystal) and children, Daynon and Colton of Weyburn, Saskatchewan as well as many friends he has made over the years.

Norman’s Memorial Service will be held on his 71st birthday, Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 425 10th Avenue SE, Weyburn, Saskatchewan with Morgan Tiefenbach officiating. A Funeral Lunch and fellowship will follow Service at the Church. Norman will be laid to rest in Nova Scotia at a later date.
