The Estevan Police Service responded to several calls for service on May 29.
Officers were dispatched to a report of a domestic disturbance occurring in the street in a central Estevan neighbourhood. They were unable to locate the source of the disturbance but found a large family gathering taking place outside. Attendees admitted to being loud. No further police involvement was required.
Police received a Report Impaired Driver (RID) call. The caller provided a description of the vehicle, a licence plate number and the direction of travel. However, the vehicle and driver were not located.
Later that day, officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the north end of the city. As they were en route, one of the individuals involved left the scene. Police spoke with both parties and determined that only a verbal argument had occurred. Officers mediated the situation and no further intervention was necessary.
While police were attending another call for service, a report came in about two vehicles travelling at a high rate of speed on Kensington Avenue. Vague descriptions of the vehicles were provided, but officers were unable to locate them.
Police were also called to the Walmart parking lot after a youth reported feeling harassed. Officers spoke with some of the parties involved, and the matter remains under investigation.
A report was received of a suspicious person towing an air compressor behind a bicycle. The individual was last seen walking westbound in the 600-block of Third Street. Police patrolled the area but did not locate anyone matching the description.
