Firefighters from Austin and MacGregor were called to a structure fire late Friday night in the RM of North Norfolk.
The call came in at 10:07 p.m. on May 30 for a blaze at a residence along Road 57N.

Smoke coming from attached garage
“Once on scene, smoke was observed in the attached garage of the home,” notes the Austin Fire Department in a post shared online the following morning.
“Firefighters from both departments entered the building,” adds the department, “and were able to contain the fire before it spread further.”

Majority of home saved, no injuries reported
Crews managed to prevent the fire from damaging most of the house.
“Successfully saving the majority of the home,” continues the report, “no injuries were sustained during the incident.”
The joint effort brought a quick resolution to what could have become a much more serious situation.
