More than 100 members of the CHVN family braved the rain to gather at Blue Cross Park Saturday night for Faith Night with the Winnipeg Goldeyes.

Rain returns, but the CHVN family shines

For the second year in a row, the weather brought a downpour and another game delay. But that didn’t dampen the spirits of CHVN listeners, who took the chance to enjoy some extended fellowship on the concourse while waiting for the game to start.

Birthday Bash excitement builds

Fans not only came for baseball but also earned early entries into CHVN’s 25th Birthday Bash. With multiple $10,000 prize packs to choose from finding chances for bonus entries is your best chance at qualifying this summer! Listen Monday to CHVN Mornings with Westbrook Dental when as Sylvia St. Cyr draws another qualifier from the names entered at Faith Night.

CHVN account managers Tanya and Craig helped people get entered in the qualifying draw for the CHVN Birthday Bash. Reach out to them if you're interested in advertising your business!

Adding to the fun was Halo the Hound, who danced, high-fived, and posed for photos with fans throughout the evening.

Faith on the field

One of the most powerful moments of the night came when gametime finally got closer. Around 100 people gathered under the picnic park tents. Goldeyes team chaplain Steve Switzer hosted a heartfelt conversation with four players who shared about their faith and lives in professional baseball.

Infielder Ramón Bramasco, infielder Matthew Warkentin, pitcher Landon Leach, and catcher Kevin Garcia opened up about how their faith guides them on and off the field.

Eyes on another comeback season for Goldeyes

While it was a tough outing for the Goldeyes, falling 9-0 to the Kansas City Monarchs, the team has shown it can overcome adversity. That's just what the Goldeyes did last year after another difficult start to the season, eventually rallying to play in the league championship.

There’s every reason to believe they’ll bring that same determination this season.

More summer fun ahead with CHVN

CHVN is grateful to everyone who came out and made Faith Night a meaningful evening of encouragement, community, and fun.

Make sure to listen for where we’ll be next this summer, as there are plenty more chances to connect, celebrate our birthday, and enter to win big!

And if you’re looking for a fun family night out, a Goldeyes game at Blue Cross Park is always a home run. From family outings to church group events, the team offers great options for everyone.
