Blustery winds didn't put a pause on walkers supporting the Saint Mary's Villa Foundation at its Sunday walk and BBQ. Although the dining was shifted indoors to Saint Mary's Hall, residents and guests all had a chance to gather in that same summertime spirit that's characterized the walk and barbecue in past years.
Saint Mary's Villa Foundation is working hard to support equipment and furnishings, both for the existing facility and in the hopes that a new facility in Humboldt will be announced soon.
Cooks from the Humboldt Lions Club were on hand delivering up the sizzling summertime favorites. While everyone inside warmed up from the walk and gathered for a performance by five-time Saskatchewan country music award nominee Jackie Guy. Jackie was a hit with everyone on hand .
The weather cooperated in that there was no rain, and the gusty winds couldn't blow out the spirit of the challenge.
