Young and old showed up in droves for the 57th Diamond Valley Parade and Festival on Saturday.

The Oilfields basketball team held a pancake breakfast fundraiser on the Black Diamond side to kick off the day at 8:30 in the high school's parking lot.

Once it was sold out, the floats and entries started the parade at 10:00 a.m. along the new route the town instituted just last year.

All the entertainment and activities then shifted to the Turner Valley side from 11:00 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The Town also held a grand opening for Gray Park, just west of the Black Diamond arena, skatepark and pump track.
