The Okotoks Dawgs' bats exploded on Saturday night as they hosted the Energy City Cactus Rats at Seaman Stadium.

They scored 20 runs off 17 hits, including bringing seven runners home in the fourth inning.

Four different Dawgs pitchers held the Cactus Rats to just one run off nine hits.

Hometown standout Connor Crowson went 3 for 5 at the plate with four RBI's and one walk.

The Dawgs finished off their series against the Cactus Rats yesterday, where they hung on for a 5-4 win.

The club also succumbed to the Sylvan Lake Gulls on Friday night, 12-7. 

Up next, the Dawgs host the Sylvan Lake Gulls Tuesday night before heading out on a road trip to Moose Jaw.
