A truly Canadian sport is having a 'come try me' event on Wednesday night near Okotoks.

The Foothills Ringette organization is hosting a free hour of ringette for girls between 10 and 14.

They'll supply the sticks, and all your girl needs to bring is skates and a helmet.

No experience is necessary, and it's taking place at the Scott Seaman Sports Rink beside the Heritage Heights School.

The event is entirely free, and spots are limited, but you are required to sign up here.

Ringette was invented in Canada in 1963.
