The City of Weyburn will host a family-friendly event, the fourth annual Public Works & Emergency Services Open House, on Wednesday, June 18th from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Public Works Fleet Storage building on 16th Street.
The City's Engineering Director, Renee Cugnet, announced the event during Monday's meeting of Weyburn City Council.
All of the City's fleet vehicles and equipment will be on hand for an interactive display, including emergency services. Previous events have had jaws-of-life rescue demonstrations from the Fire Department, car seat clinics from the Weyburn Police Service, and Jessi the Fire Dog and Oakley the K-9, who are always popular with the children.
There will be a free barbecue of hamburgers, hotdogs, and drinks, as well as a sandbox for children.
