The City of Weyburn has issued an immediate advisory urging all residents and businesses to reduce water usage after a power outage at the Nickle Lake water intake severely impacted the city's reservoir capacity.
As a result of the outage, the city's water supply is now critically low. The City is asking everyone to immediately cut back on water consumption by postponing tasks such as laundry, dishwashing, and any other high-usage activities until further notice.
SaskPower has been notified of the issue and is actively working to restore power to the water intake facility.
Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
The City of Weyburn is thanking residents for their cooperation during this time, noting that community support is essential to maintain essential water services.
