The Soo Line Cruisers Car Club is gearing up to host the 22nd Annual Show and Shine on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event is free to the public, with live music from Assorted Nuts, a variety of vendors including the Weyburn Humane Society selling raffle tickets for their 2025 Jeep Compass North 4x4, and even some new features this year.
"This is shaping up to be one of our biggest ones yet," said Club President Jarrod Stroeder. "This is one of the biggest car shows in southeast Saskatchewan and we're really starting to make a name for that. We've got people coming up from the United States for this show. We've got people coming from Manitoba for this show, people coming from as far north as Saskatoon for this show. So we want to keep growing it, and part of that is the location and being able to have it downtown in our beautiful city, I think, is amazing too."
He said Mayor Jeff Richards has assured him the downtown will be in tip-top shape for the event, which coincides as always with the Weyburn Walk of Fame induction ceremony at 2 p.m.

Third Street, Second Street, and part of Souris Avenue will be blocked off for the event, which will feature vehicles from all around the area, with registration beginning at the Weyburn Legion at 9 a.m. Those hoping to show off their vehicles pay just $10 and can park where they choose on a first-come-first-served basis.
"Weather permitting, the Regina Exotic Car Club is going to be coming down with some of their high-end cars," noted Stroeder. "Some Lamborghinis and Ferraris and McLarens and that's going to be pretty amazing."
Saturday's forecast is currently expecting sunshine and a high of 25.
Vendors will be setting up between the RBC and MNP on Souris Avenue, which is one of the heaviest foot-traffic areas for the show. Two of the tents for the space will be used by the Soo Line Cruisers Car Club to sell merchandise and, new this year, to sell raffle tickets for items purchased and donated as part of fundraising efforts for the Weyburn Theatre Community Cooperative. Items include a classic retro cooler, a toolset, various car wash packages, and car detailing packages. Tickets can be purchased and then added to the bucket in front of each of the items.
"If you really want to win the cooler, you put all 10 [tickets] in the ice bucket, or if you want to mix everything up, then you put a ticket in for every [item]."
Stroeder said between the raffle and any other proceeds from the event, their fundraising goal for the Weyburn Theatre is $2,500.
Club member Jason Hill will serve as M.C. for the event, with the stage located next to the Golden West Radio station on the corner of Souris Avenue and Third Street. There, awards will also be presented at 3 p.m.
"We've expanded our award categories, we have five awards to give out this year as opposed to just two. So we're excited about that."
Sponsors for the event are recognized via the club's social media, as well as on swag bags, posters, and magnets.
"We want this year to be our best year ever, and I think we're on pace for it to be the best show yet. Our club is really committed. We've got a really good executive team on the club and volunteers within our club. There are a lot of people that are putting in a lot of effort into this."
