As the density of wildfire smoke lingering over the province continues to decline, the Air Quality Warning issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada on Tuesday has been downgraded to a Special Air Quality Statement.
A Special Air Quality Statement is issued when there is an Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) value of 7 or higher for at least two or more consecutive hours. The AQHI at the nearest monitoring station, located in Regina, currently sits at 7 or high risk as of the writing of this article.
