Investigation underway after firearm discharged south of Weyburn

An investigation is underway after a troubling incident involving a firearm on a rural property south of Weyburn last month. 

On May 2nd, a resident of the R.M. of Weyburn along Range Road 2142, roughly nine kilometres south of the Weyburn Gold Club, reported that a dark-coloured pickup truck stopped near their driveway and fired a small-calibre firearm. A horse on the property was struck by the gunfire, not far from where the landowner had been working at the time. 

The vehicle then fled the scene at a high rate of speed. 

The suspect vehicle is described as a black or dark blue 1990s model Chevrolet truck.
