Get ready to watch the kids fly by as they race down Central Avenue North on Sunday in Swift Current.

The Swift Current Soapbox Association is inviting everyone to come watch as they host their annual Father's Day Race, beginning at 9 a.m.

The races will begin with the junior division and will see a total of 40 kids participating.

Georgia Graham, a member of the Soapbox Association, will be helping man the refreshments at the bottom of the hill.

"We're going to be holding a barbecue just as another way to raise money for the club," said Graham.

Folks at the top of the hill will be able to stop at a food truck.

Other fundraising efforts this year for the Soapbox Association included a bottle drive, weekly tie-ins with Tail Light Tuesday for the month of June, and some involvement with Picnic in the Park.

Also participating in the races will be the Southwest Explorer, Carianne Hunter. She will be racing Dustin Vipond and his custom downhill snowmobile while she rides in the ever-beloved Soapbox Association bathtub racer.
