Weyburn is coming up on one of the busiest weekends of the year, with fun for the whole family packed into the community's streets.

Beginning tomorrow, when the Weyburn Comprehensive School's Class of 2025 will celebrate their academic achievement. The ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. followed by the grand march and grad parade.

For devoted or casual car enthusiasts, the 22nd annual Soo Line Cruisers Car Club Show and Shine is setting up tomorrow as well, beginning at 11 a.m. The event will feature live music from Assorted Nuts and a variety of vendors. Awards will be presented at 4 p.m.

In the midst of the Show and Shine, the community is gathering at City Hall at 2 p.m. for the induction of the newest members of the Weyburn Walk of Fame. This year recognizes filmmaker Jason Bohn and Canadian diplomat James K. Hill.

The day will wrap up at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 47, where they will draw the winner of their Father's Day 50/50 raffle. The lucky winner could bring home up to $10,000.

Sunday is Father's Day, and we celebrated early on Thursday when winners of our Make My Father's Day contest enjoyed an evening of axe throwing at The Slice.

Anyone looking to do something special for Father's Day can head over the Goodwater Community Hall for the Third annual Pancake for STARS fundraiser. The by-donation breakfast has all proceeds going to the STARS air ambulance.

If you're still feeling charitable, we are still receiving donations for our Saskatchewan Day of Caring radiothon in support of wildfire evacuees.
