A local wood systems manufacturing company in Boissevain is helping the Boissevain school playground committee raise money to replace the aging school playground equipment.

Western Archrib is challenging the businesses and producers in Boissevain to make a donation to the Boissevain School Playground Project, and they will match donations up to a total of $20,000!!

"We are very excited for this new partnership and have created a new "Wood" Partner category in recognition of their contribution and product," shares committee co-chair Susan Jackon.

"We are sitting at approximately $230,000 raised, so have now moved well into fundraising for the next phases, creating an outdoor space for high school students and redeveloping the primary playground. With Western Archrib's generous donation and challenge to the community, we are excited to potentially bring that total up to $270,000!"

The playground committee's efforts of late have been focused on preparing to build the middle years' playground this summer. The equipment has been ordered and the installation is expected to take place in July.  Volunteers will be needed!
