The Marysburg Royals continued with their winning ways, taking both games in their doubleheader at home against the Saskatoon Outlaws.   

In Game 1, the Royals prevailed 7-1 and in Game 2, they won convincingly 14-4.  

Nick Anderson led Marysburg in the first game with a pair of hits and three RBIs, with Brent Puetz and Mick Rueve each chipping in with two hits each.  

The Royals stormed out the gates scoring seven runs through the first five innings.  

Taylor Lessmeister earned the win on the mound. He tossed a complete game allowing one run on four hits. Lessmeister also had four strikeouts.  

In the second game, Marysburg trailed 3-0 going into the bottom of the second inning but responded with four runs. After the Outlaws tied the game in the fourth inning, the Royals would go ahead for good with four more runs. Marysburg finished off the day with six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.  

Anderson knocked in four runs with a pair of hits. He also earned the win on the mound pitching a complete game, giving up three earned runs, allowing six hits and registered two strikeouts.  

Tom Hooker had three hits, a trio of RBIs, three runs and a stolen base. Braden Bauml drove in two runs with two hits.  

Marysburg is now 9-1 on the season. They return to action on Thursday in Saskatoon against the Hoppers.
