The City of Red Deer is making it easier and more affordable for youth to stay active and mobile this summer with the return of the popular Rip ‘n Rec Summer Pass.

For just $50, youth aged 17 and under can enjoy unlimited access to both Red Deer Transit and the City’s recreation facilities from June 23 to Sept. 1.

The Rip ‘n Rec Pass includes:

  • Unlimited rides on Red Deer Transit, city-wide
  • Unlimited drop-in access at all four City recreation centres, including:
    • Indoor and outdoor swimming pools

    • Gym activities like basketball and badminton

    • Fitness areas and drop-in classes

The pass can be purchased at:

  • Collicutt Centre (3031 – 30 Ave.)
  • Michener Aquatic Centre (51A St. and 38 Ave.)
  • Recreation Centre (4501 – 47A Ave.)
  • G.H. Dawe Community Centre (6175 – 67 St.)

To access fitness areas, youth must complete a Youth Fitness Orientation at each facility they plan to use.

Pre-registration is available through the link Look ‘n Book, in person at any City facility or by calling 403-309-8411.

A $10 fee applies per orientation session, and youth must bring a completed Youth Fitness Orientation Consent Form, signed by a parent or guardian.

Forms can be printed from the City’s website or picked up at the facility.
