The Village of Torquay is gearing up for a once-in-a-century celebration. From June 27 to 29, the community will mark its 100th anniversary with a weekend packed full of food, music, history, and family-friendly events. Mayor Terry Malaryk and Centennial Committee Chairperson Cindy Daae joined the SUN 102 Morning Show with Dan to share what’s in store.
“We have special music during the program. One of our guests is 99-year-old Kathryn Groshong. She wrote the song ‘Let's Celebrate Saskatchewan’ for the 1980 celebration of Saskatchewan's 75th. So she is back, and she will be performing ‘Let's Celebrate Saskatchewan’ on stage during the program.” — Cindy Daae, Chairperson, Torquay Centennial Committee
