As concerns mount over Alberta’s public health care system, two Alberta NDP MLAs will be in Airdrie on Thursday, June 19, for a town hall focused on challenges such as privatization, ER closures, and rising wait times.
MLAs Dr. Luanne Metz, chair of Future of Health Care, and Sarah Hoffman, NDP health shadow minister, will headline the event, joined by Chris Gallaway, executive director of Friends of Medicare, and Nate Pike, host of the political podcast The Breakdown.
The health care town hall, organized by the Alberta NDP constituency associations of Airdrie-Cochrane and Airdrie-East, runs from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Town and Country Centre, 275 Jensen Dr NE #103, Airdrie, AB. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Organizers say the evening will feature a moderated panel discussion, audience Q&A, and community dialogue aimed at protecting and improving Alberta’s public health care system.
Admission is free, but space is limited. RSVPs are encouraged at Health Care Town Hall « Alberta's NDP.
