The Town of Ponoka has announced a temporary power outage today, weather permitting, from 9 a.m. to approximately 1 p.m. in parts of town.

The planned outage will affect properties on the following streets as crews conduct electrical maintenance:

  • On 38 Avenue Close between 46 Street and the Battle River

  • On 46 Street between 38 Avenue Close and the alley west of 37 Avenue (between 46 Street and the Battle River)

Affected properties have been notified by hand-delivered notices. Residents in the impacted area are encouraged to check their front door or mailbox for details.

There is also a planned power outage scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, June 19, weather permitting, from 9 a.m. to approximately 12 p.m., as crews conduct additional electrical maintenance.

The outage will affect the west side of 53 Street, between 57 Avenue and the back alley located north of 53 Avenue (between 53 Street and Highway 2A).

Notification of both outages has also been sent to users subscribed to the Town of Ponoka App and Notification Service.
