Winnipeg Police Service have arrested two individuals for drug-related charges and found a sizeable amount of cash.
On June 15, at approximately 11:14 p.m., officers from the Traffic Division stopped a vehicle in the 2200 block of McPhillips Street. The vehicle was being operated by a 21-year-old with a suspended licence.
Officers also discovered drug paraphernalia, cell phones, and close to $100,000 in Canadian currency during the traffic stop. The driver, as well as the 17-year-old passenger, were arrested.
The 21-year-old driver has been charged with possessing proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000. He remains in police custody.
The 17-year-old passenger also faces charges of possessing proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000. He was released on an Appearance Notice.
